Eastown Animal Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who is dedicated to high-quality patient care and teamwork. You will assist veterinarians, perform nursing duties, manage patient records, and help with surgeries and diagnostics.

The position features a four-day work week (7:30am–5pm three days, 7:30–6pm on Thursday) with rotating Saturdays, competitive pay based on experience, and comprehensive benefits provided through Vetcor.

• Current Registered Veterinary Technician credential or eligibility for credentialing as required in Iowa.

Responsabilidades

• Support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to patients.
• Assist with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform technical nursing duties appropriate to your training and credentials.
• Safely handle and restrain patients while prioritizing comfort and well-being.
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples for laboratory testing.
• Administer medications and treatments under veterinarian direction.
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia, patient monitoring, and recovery.
• Support dental procedures and preventive-care services.
• Educate clients about treatments, medications, preventive care, and at-home instructions.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas.
