Parktown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced general practice. You will work alongside three DVMs to provide exceptional patient care and keep the hospital running smoothly.

This is a full-time on-site role requiring an RVT credential and active licensure. You will assist with exams, procedures, anesthesia, dental work, and radiography while maintaining precise medical records and collaborating with a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• RVT certification required and active licensure.
• Excellent animal handling and safety focus.
• Strong knowledge of procedures, lab techniques, and pharma calculations.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, and radiography.
• Proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and vaccinations.
• Ability to document care accurately and maintain medical records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams, treatments, and in-house diagnostics.
• Assist surgeons, monitor anesthesia, and support patient recovery.
• Triages patients, gathers histories, and minimizes stress for animals.
• Update clients on status and explain treatments under veterinary guidance.
• Maintain records, manage medications, and participate in team training.
