Northrop Grumman seeks a Field Technician 4 at the Minuteman III Wing in Cheyenne, WY. You will inspect, maintain and repair field equipment for the Missile Field Battlespace Awareness Remote Visual Assessment system and coordinate with NOC/SOC and U.S.

Government counterparts to meet mission requirements. The role requires climbing towers, working at heights, occasional travel, and a 5/40 schedule Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Operate Windows-based operating systems.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

What You'll Get To Do:

The Field Technician, Field Technician 4 at the Minuteman III Wing location in Cheyenne, WY is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing system equipment for the Missile Field Battlespace Awareness Remote Visual Assessment system. This role works closely with Network Operation Center/ Security Operation Center (NOC/SOC) technicians, program management, and U.S. Government counterparts to ensure key performance parameters and mission requirements are met. This work requires dispatch year-round to the remote missile field and working at heights of 50 feet in a Bucket Truck, as well as climbing and maintaining equipment on radio towers. The ideal candidate will provide strong networking experience, participating in day-to-day and surge operations for a small team, and will act as the network field technician responsible for troubleshooting equipment used within the network. Occasional travel will be required. This position will follows a 5/40 schedule Monday through Friday (shift 1).

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying, inspecting, maintaining and repairing system equipment to ensure proper operations.
• Assisting with the installation of new systems, diagnosing technical problems, replacing malfunction components, upgrading systems for efficiency and running equipment tests.
• Support performance tracking, maintain accurate documentation and support reporting requirements.
• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing system equipment.
• Strict adherence with Environmental, Health & Safety standards.
• Monitor/replenish bench stock, supplies and critical equipment.
• Obtain certification to operate special purpose vehicles up to Class B, requiring a Commercial Driver's License
• Maintain Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification.
• Follow directions to conduct on-site testing activities to verify functionality.
• Maintain qualification for tower climb certification.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Operate Microsoft Windows based operating systems
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Comply with safety and security policies/procedures while on-site or in Laboratory
• Follow technical guidance outlined in program maintenance manual
• Ability to obtain tower climbing certification
• Ability to lift heavy equipment(up to 40 lbs) and work in varied environmental conditions.
• Safely operate all vehicles and equipment.
• Valid current driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Network + certification.
• Experience with Linux, Juniper and Cisco interfaces.
• Current/active DOD Secret Clearance.
• Experience with Minuteman III systems or other USAF weapons systems.
• ICBM Maintenance or Security experience.
• Prior or current certification for tower climbing.
• Prior or current certification operating bucket trucks at heights up to 60 feet.
• Active Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Fiber optic repair and troubleshooting.
• Soldering certification.

Primary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
