Job summary

Bretz RV & Marine in Boise, Idaho is hiring RV Technician Trainees who are motivated to enter one of the fastest growing careers in the nation. This position offers comprehensive training to become a Certified RV Technician.

As a trainee, you will learn directly from experienced technicians while preparing RVs for sale, installing accessories, and repairing mechanical systems. The role promises a dynamic, family-oriented work environment with growth opportunities and competitive pay starting at $18+ an hour, with the potential to earn $30-$40 after training.

Qualifications

• 2 years high school shop class experience.
• Provide a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RVs for sale and install accessories.
• Repair mechanical systems when they fail.
• Work directly with senior level technicians.

Skills

Basic understanding of 12V electrical

Bretz RV & Marine is looking to grow its technician programs by hiring motivated individuals who want to be a part of the top growing careers in the country. RV Technician was recently published as the #3 fastest growing career in the United States.

We are currently seeking to hire RV Technician Trainees who live in the Missoula, MT area. We will provide all the necessary training to become a Certified RV technician. Our Service Technicians are responsible for preparing RVs for sale, installing accessories, and repairing mechanical systems when they fail. In this position you will work directly with senior level technicians, service advisors, parts team members, and other co-workers to learn and grow in this career.

Qualifications

Experience (any two items from the list below; we teach the rest):

• 2 years high school shop class
• 2 years of experience working on / repairing automobiles (home or business)
• Basic understanding of 12V electrical (car audio, equipment, tractors, automobiles, etc.)
• Basic understanding of 110V electrical (residential or commercial)
• Basic ability in welding / fabrication
• Basic understanding of small engines
• Basic ability in construction / carpentry
• Basic ability in plumbing
• Basic ability in automotive accessory install

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical college degree preferred

Compensation

• $18+ to start with earning potential of $30-$40 after training

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Be able to stand, walk or crouch for extended periods of time
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Bending, stooping, kneeling frequently
• Must be able to climb ladders

Work Attire

• Requires wearing closed toe shoes
• A technician uniform shirt will be provided
• Blue or Black work pants (no denim jeans)

About Our Dealership

Bretz RV & Marine opened for business in Missoula, Montana, in 1967. Until then, Frank and Vi Bretz had been operating a service station and renting U-Hauls in central Missoula. Searching for a new camping trailer turned into a new business opportunity. Not only did the Bretz family get a new camper, they decided to get into the business of selling and renting small travel trailers.

Today Bretz RV & Marine is still a family-owned and operated business with five dealerships across Montana and Idaho. We are fortunate to have grown from just over 100 employees to nearly 400 employees in the last five years. We do all we can to offer our teams an excellent place to work and advance in our company.
