Job Description

As an RV Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting RV units for proper functionality for customers. The ideal candidate is confident working with their hands, has a background in car maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, or general contracting, and has experience in repair diagnostics and/or 2+ years of experience in a technical field or the RV industry. Bish’s RV offers on-the-job training and certifications if there is less than one year of on-the-job experience.

What you'll do:

• Inspect units for customer sale
• Learn and execute a Get Ready and customer service process
• Perform unsupervised diagnostics: work independently with repairs, ensuring quality and follow-up as needed
• Learn and perform installation of 5th wheel hitches and full wire brake controls
• Learn and perform customer-pay service work
• Work on any RV unit in the service department
• Complete specialty certifications and pursue continuing education
• Produce consistent repairs and maintain customer satisfaction scores
• Share knowledge and best practices to help team members grow

What we're looking for:

• Experience in the RV industry and/or mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or maintenance work
• 2+ years of experience in a technical field is a plus
• Personal set of tools
• Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend for extended periods
• Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs with assistance
• Comfort working in environments with heat, cold, dust, and loud noises
• Flexibility with work schedule, including Saturdays (closed on Sundays)
• Neat, professional appearance
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass background check and drug test
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the company's values and culture
