Job summary

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team in Indiana. The ideal candidate will have advanced diagnostic and repair skills for RV coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs, with a passion for fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems.

The successful RV Technician will be detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and well‑versed in all maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year service technician experience preferred
• RVIA certification helpful but not required
• Must furnish own hand/shop tools
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Exposure to heights and hazards with electrical/welding equipment
• Prolonged standing, bending, crawling
• Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness

Responsibilities

• Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers
• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
• Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
• Ensure final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers

We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful RV Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self‑motivated, and be well‑versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals who are not already certified. What You’ll Do

What You'll Need To Have For The Role

• Certification from college or technical school in a trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is helpful, but applicable work experience is also considered
• Minimum of 1‑year service technician experience or related fields preferred

• Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
• Possible exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices
• Valid driver's license preferred

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range

$22.00‑$53.48 Hourly
