Job summary

Matic is seeking a meticulous, Rust-loving Software Engineer to join our Platform team on the ground floor. You’ll work on low-level driver and kernel development up to interfacing with perception algorithms running locally on the robot, with high performance expectations and limited compute.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Rust and willingness to work with Rust-based systems.
• Familiarity with C/C++ is a plus.
• Experience with a scripting language (Shell or Python).
• Experience with userspace Linux programming and conventions.
• Proven track record of delivering quality software.

Responsibilities

• Build software systems for compute graphs, auto-update, and multi-modal interactions.
• Design fast, secure real-time data and video transfer protocols.
• Perform root cause analysis of crashes and fix issues.
• Create tools and improve infrastructure for developer efficiency.
• Collaborate with Software, Algorithms, and Hardware teams to realize product vision.
• Be an integral member of a small software team.
