Job summary

Gropyus AG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate software powering our machines, robots, and manufacturing systems. You will work on production-grade Rust applications and integrate them with simulation environments and industrial equipment.

You will contribute across the software lifecycle, champion observability, and participate in on-call responsibilities as part of a cross-functional team driving Software Defined Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience building production software.
• Experience in Rust and production deployments.
• Proficient in distributed systems, concurrency, APIs, and architecture.
• Familiar with CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and release management.
• Willing to participate in on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate software for machines and robotics.
• Develop Rust-based machine-near applications and integration services.
• Create interfaces between production systems, simulation environments, and manufacturing equipment.
• Contribute across the software lifecycle from implementation to production support.
• Apply modern engineering practices including code reviews, CI/CD, and observability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to translate manufacturing needs into scalable software.
