Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a maintenance painter to perform preventative and corrective painting projects with a focus on rust mitigation, surface preparation, and coating applications. The role requires proficiency with painting tools and careful attention to detail, with frequent use of High Reach to access work areas.

Required are 3+ years in theme painting and air brush work, strong color matching and blending skills, and a high school diploma or GED (technical school preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school preferred.
• 3+ years painting experience in theme painting and air brush.
• Color matching and blending of new to existing finishes.

Responsibilities

• Wire brush all affected areas and surfaces using hand or power tool cleaning; High Reach access as needed.
• Prep surfaces via sandpaper, masking and chemical cleaning; High Reach access as needed.
• Paint areas via spraying, brushing or rolling per QC and OEM specs; High Reach access as needed.
• Gather tools, inform Lead of materials and update inventory used.
• Provide work documentation in Maximo Labor Reporting and Logbook.
