Job summary

Zekai is seeking experienced Russian Linguistic Experts to evaluate LLM Russian tasks and curate high-quality Russian linguistic data for training and improving model understanding.

You will edit, annotate, and refine Russian content, identify gaps in the model, and provide detailed feedback to researchers. This is a 100% remote contract role open to candidates located in the United States. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of linguistic nuances are essential.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Russian with excellent grammar, syntax and style.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Russian.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances and context-appropriate usage.

Responsibilities

our partner is seeking experienced Russian Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project in partnership with a leading research lab. This role centers on evaluating how effectively a large language model (LLM) performs in Russian-language tasks and on curating high-quality Russian linguistic data to train and improve the model's understanding and generation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the quality and accuracy of LLM-generated Russian text across various use cases (e.g., translation, summarization, dialogue, grammar correction).

• Edit, refine, or rewrite Russian content to meet linguistic and cultural standards.

• Annotate Russian text for grammatical, syntactic, and semantic features.

• Identify model errors and language gaps, and collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance.

• Provide detailed linguistic feedback and analysis to guide ongoing model training efforts.

You're a strong fit if you have:

• Native or near-native fluency in Russian, with excellent command over grammar, syntax, and stylistics.

• Professional experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Russian.

• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances, regional variations, and context-appropriate usage.

• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies (preferred but not required).

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors or unnatural phrasing.

• Clear communication skills and experience working in distributed, remote teams.
