Job description

PLEASE NOTE: Salary is dependent on experience. Yamhill County typically hires between steps 1-4

Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a General Outpatient Therapist to work on the Family & Youth team providing mental health services to children and their families. This position is split to be 20 hours per week based in the McMinnville clinic, and 20 hours based in a rural school setting. Duties include client engagement, crisis support, diagnosing, direct treatment, performing integrated behavioral health assessments, service planning and implementation, individual and family therapy, case management, and collaborative service documentation. The position may also provide clinic-based crisis coverage during regular hours as part of a team rotation. The hybrid work option depends on caseload.

This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, depending on experience and credentialing.

Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $6261 - $7934/month (DOE)

Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $5751 - $7351/month (DOE)

The Qualifications:
  • A master's degree from an accredited school in social work, clinical psychology, or a related field.
  • One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I.
    • Equivalent combinations of experience and training that ensure ability to perform the work may substitute.
  • Must qualify as QMHP, CADC, or QMRP to work in respective fields.
  • Must have an NPI number or ability to obtain one upon employment.
  • Licensing may be required.

Preference will be given to applicants with training and experience in evidence-based practices and providing intensive mental health and addictions services in community settings.

Successful candidates will undergo a background check.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, paperwork management, and communication skills, both verbal and written. They should be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to interact professionally with co-workers, clients, and the public. Knowledge of community mental health and chemical dependency services, as well as diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment planning techniques, is essential. Ability to understand stress-related behavior, develop cooperative relationships, and maintain contacts with physicians, law enforcement, courts, and community organizations is also required.
