Job summary

IFHS in Unalaska, AK seeks an experienced Paramedic to provide primary patient care for all ages in a rural clinic setting. The role requires rapid assessment, independent problem solving and coordination with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include triage, administering therapies, maintaining sterile practices, and supporting staff during high-volume seasons. Relocation is provided for this rural position.

Qualifications

• Must hold State of Alaska Paramedic License.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS and PHTLS required/obtain within 1 year of hire.
• One year of paramedic experience required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess and interpret patient condition; document care and administer treatments as ordered.
• Perform triage and direct patients to appropriate level of care per protocol.
• Maintain sterile technique and operate medical equipment.
• Dispense medications as needed and educate patients; participate in staff trainings and outreach.
