California Rural Legal Assistance Inc. seeks a Justice Center Director to lead operations across CRLA’s Rural Justice Centers.

The role involves supervising a multidisciplinary team, managing a personal caseload, and driving equity-focused services and systemic advocacy. The candidate should have 4+ years serving marginalized communities, with 3+ years in advocacy, and be admitted to the California Bar or another State Bar, plus Spanish fluency or another relevant language.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience working with historically marginalized populations.
• At least 3 years in advocacy roles, majority as attorney, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Admitted to the California Bar or another State Bar with willingness to take the CA Bar exam.
• Fluency in Spanish or another language relevant to CRLA’s clients.

Responsabilités

• Supervise attorneys, community workers, and support staff delivering advocacy.
• Build trust and partnerships with local organizations to inform advocacy efforts.
• Design and oversee initiatives empowering community members to identify issues and craft solutions.
• Oversee annual work plans, ensure compliance with policies and ethical standards, and manage facilities.
• Collaborate with other Justice Centers and CRLA programs.
