Job summary

HHSC is seeking a Rural Engagement Team Manager to lead staff, oversee the Rural Hospital Officers Academy, and coordinate cross‑agency initiatives for rural hospital finance and stakeholder assistance. The role focuses on policy development, data analysis, and program implementation to improve Medicaid and related services.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Public Policy/Affairs, Health Care, Economics, or related subject.
• Two years of experience in finance, budget management, reimbursement, revenue cycle operations, cost reporting, financial analysis, hospital finance, or related financial operations.
• Minimum of two years of full-time experience managing or supervising 4 or more employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff that manage projects and coordinate for the Rural Hospital Officers Academy, advisory committees, and related data analysis units.
• Develop policies and processes to ensure excellent customer service and accurate HHSC program understanding.
• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and measure stakeholder assistance for rural hospitals.
