Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center seeks a K-12 Rural Program Coordinator I to plan and implement outreach activities for the Rural Medicine ISD Program. You will develop engaging learning opportunities that introduce healthcare careers and support partnerships with schools, communities, and partners.

The role requires collaboration with faculty, staff, and students, along with event planning, curriculum delivery, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in teaching and/or program coordination.
• Two years of related experience in a school district setting or healthcare education.
• Texas teaching certification.
• Five years of experience in an educational setting.
• Experience with conference and event planning.
• Experience coordinating curriculum and working with faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate outreach activities and events that promote healthcare career awareness for K-12 students.
• Coordinate learning opportunities, camps, field trips and virtual events aligned with program goals.
• Ensure compliance with youth protection guidelines and track participation.
• Prepare reports on attendance and outcomes for program growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with rural school districts and community partners.
