Job summary

The Tennessee Department of Health’s Division of Family Health and Wellness is seeking a contract Epidemiologist 1 to support the Rural Fetal and Infant Health Initiative (RFIHI) in rural Tennessee communities through data analysis, program evaluation, and reporting.

Responsibilities include developing databases and dashboards, conducting epidemiological analyses (PPOR, vital statistics, hospital data), and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating with

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or related field.
  • Experience in maternal and child health, epidemiology, program evaluation, or rural health preferred.
  • Experience managing databases and integrating multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze maternal, fetal, infant, and related public health data to support planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain databases, dashboards, and data tracking systems for Rural Health Transformation activities.
  • Assist in monitoring program performance measures, deliverables, and evaluation activities for funded grantees.
  • Create reports, presentations, data summaries, dashboards, GIS products, and visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with program staff and partners to support data-driven interventions.
