Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, IA is seeking an EMT to join the rural EMS team. The role provides Basic Life Support and transports patients to facilities, working with a Paramedic or EMS staff. Adherence to Iowa DPH standards and MCEMS/MCRHC values is required.

The position is 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period) with 12-hour shifts, Sundays through Saturdays, including holidays and weekends. Starts at $18.14 per hour, with increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current state EMT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Preference for NREMT certification
• BLS Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests and provide Basic Life Support as needed.
• Transport sick or injured persons to appropriate medical facility.
• Work with Paramedic or other EMS personnel and adhere to MCEMS/MCRHC standards.
• Prepare and submit required reports and correspondence.
• Participate in required training and maintain current certifications.
