Job summary

SEARHC, Wrangell Medical Center, is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality care in a rural, full-scope ED/hospitalist setting. The role blends emergency medicine with inpatient and rehab responsibilities, offering autonomy and meaningful patient relationships.

Candidates must be MD/DO with a residency in Family Medicine, Med/Peds, or Emergency Medicine, be board-certified or eligible, and eligible for Alaska licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine, Med/Peds, or Emergency Medicine
• Board-certified or board-eligible
• Eligible for Alaska medical licensure
• Required certifications: ACLS, ALSO, ATLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical health care services to emergency department patients across ages.
• Perform evaluations, analyses, and delivery of complex therapies and treatments.
• Serve as consultative liaison to village health care providers and referral physicians.
• Participate in medical staff functions including quality assurance and meetings.
• Possibly act as chief of service or provide clinical leadership as assigned.
