Job summary

Holton Community Hospital in Holton, KS, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Emergency Department. This full-time role delivers high-quality, patient-centered care across all ages, with 24-hour shifts and seven shifts per month.

The APP works with physicians and the ED team to perform assessments, stabilize patients, and coordinate care, including transfers when needed. Requires KS license, DEA, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC, and 2+ years in emergency or critical care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or PA studies; current Kansas APRN or PA license.
• Current DEA registration; BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of emergency, urgent care, or critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and manage acute and chronic ED conditions.
• Provide rapid triage, stabilization, and treatment per protocols.
• Order and interpret tests, medications, and procedures within scope.
• Coordinate patient transfers to higher-level centers and communicate with EMS.
• Participate in trauma activations, drills, and ensure documentation and compliance.
