Job summary

New Hanover Health Network in Washington State seeks a licensed dentist to provide comprehensive dental care in rural communities. You will diagnose, treat, and manage oral health while coordinating with medical, behavioral health, and care coordination teams to promote whole-person care.

We value patient-centered communication, adherence to infection control, and commitment to serving underserved populations within Northeast Washington. Travel may be required to cover multiple sites.

Qualifications

• ADA accredited dental program completed; WA license required.
• Experience working with underserved populations preferred.
• DEA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, surgical, restorative, and preventive dental procedures.
• Follow infection control procedures and review patient medical histories.
• Consult with patient’s health care provider as needed and develop treatment plans.
• Explain treatments to patients and obtain informed input and agreement.
• Balance treatment plans with patient needs and clinic resources; ensure prescriptions meet standards.
• Recommend equipment changes and participate in provider productivity standards.
• Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, and represent NEW Health at conferences.
• Act as a preceptor for dental students and rotate through clinical duties; travel may be required.
