Job summary

Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roundup, Montana seeks a Spirit-led pastor who loves God and people, faithfully teaching Scripture and modeling servant leadership. The role centers on biblical preaching, pastoral care, and equipping believers for ministry within a small town context.

The pastor will lead outreach, youth and family ministry, build relationships, mentor emerging leaders, and foster unity and healthy communication within the church and community.

Qualifications

• Must have a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and strong biblical convictions.
• Humility, servant leadership, integrity, honesty and transparency.
• Clear calling to pastoral ministry and relational, people-oriented care.
• A shepherd first, an administrator second; compassionate and caring.
• Outreach-minded with a strong emphasis on mission-focused ministry.

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach the Bible faithfully, practically and Christ-centered.
• Develop relationships with members and regularly visit the sick, grieving or homebound.
• Provide pastoral counseling, encouragement, and spiritual guidance.
• Equip members to discover and use their spiritual gifts for ministry.
• Lead outreach in Roundup and nearby communities and disciple emerging leaders.
