Job summary

United States Postal Service in Reno/Sparks area is seeking Rural Carrier Associates (RCA) to sort, deliver mail along prescribed routes, and perform related duties. RCAs may work full-time or part-time and must be available on Saturdays and as needed.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised driving in the U.S.; driving is required and a personal vehicle may be needed.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised driving experience in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
• Delivers mail to customers along a prescribed route and on a regular schedule by a vehicle.
• Loads mail in vehicle.
• Sells stamps, stamped paper and money orders; accepts special mail.
• Maintains change of address information and prepares daily trip reports.
• Maintains inventory of stamps and mail supplies and ensures mail security.
