Job summary

Maniilaq Association in Kotzebue, Alaska, seeks a dedicated physician to provide clinical care for residents of the Northwest Arctic Borough and Pt. Hope. This full-time role involves outpatient and inpatient care with access to subspecialty consults in Anchorage or Fairbanks when needed.

Responsibilities include village field clinics, radio call coverage, trauma care, and maintaining medical records. Housing priority is offered, with committees and on-call duties as part of the job.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted physician license.
• Board eligible or board certified.
• Credentials and privileges approved by Maniilaq Medical Staff and Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical diagnosis and treatment for outpatients and inpatients at Maniilaq Health Center.
• Conduct village field clinics and provide radio call coverage.
• Provide emergency/trauma coverage including medevac escort when necessary.
• Maintain patients' clinical records.
• Share ER on-call duties, as well as weekend and holiday duties with other physicians.
• Attend to committee assignments and any clinical or administrative meetings necessary for Health Center function.
• Provide clinical support/supervision for advanced practice providers when necessary
• Specific duties and responsibilities are delineated in employment agreements and privileging approvals.
