Job summary

77 consultants seeks a physician for a 24-hour solo coverage role at a rural hospital. The position includes a 12-15 hour active shift with on-call time and sleeping accommodations on-site or nearby. The facility features 25 beds, x-ray, labs, CT, and sub-specialty eICU support.

Scheduling starts at 12:00 PM with standard end times around 12:00 PM the next day; orientation and credentialing are arranged with expedited options as needed. A COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• Mandatory board certification; board-eligible may be considered.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• PALS and NRP may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour solo coverage for a rural hospital.
• Coordinate admissions and rounding during 24-hour shift.
• Manage overnight admissions with ED and nursing teams.
• Discharge coordination to ensure timely patient flow.
• Conduct informal evening rounds to liaise with ED staff.
• Adhere to credentialing timelines and telemedicine licensing options.
