The Role

The primary responsibility of a Runner is to deliver food from the kitchen to guests as quickly and efficiently as possible to ensure great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Runner is to deliver food from the kitchen to guests in VIP Club and Box Seats as quickly and efficiently as possible to ensure great guest experiences.

1. Deliver food and beverages from kitchen to guests in a timely and organized manner utilizing key information on kitchen tickets including table and seat numbers.
2. Lead communication between the servers and culinary team.
3. Read kitchen tickets to ensure quality and accuracy of all orders.
4. Monitor and observe guests dining experience - Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service – check with customers to make sure they have everything they need each time you arrive at a table.
5. Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server immediately.
6. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
7. Assist bussers as needed with clearing tables, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
8. Provide guidance to guests including dining options and general attraction information.
9. Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
10. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

1. Has been working in the food and beverage industry as a busser or food runner for at least two years.
2. Must have the ability to skillfully carry three entrée plates at the same time for long distances up to 150 ft.
3. Ability to retain and recite menu details.
4. Have an understanding of the expo process in a fine dining restaurant.
5. Must be able to read kitchen tickets and understand seat number, table numbers and course breakdowns.
6. Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
7. Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, table settings, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
8. Must have a high school diploma.
9. Must be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
10. Must maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance standards.
11. Ability to work independently or in a team setting during set up and execution of service.
12. Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations.
13. Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisor.
14. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a smile.
15. Ability to transport up to 50lbs on a continuous basis.
16. Ability to be standing and walking for long periods of time.
17. Ability to read, speak and write English Language in order to communicate with guests.
18. Must have a working email to communicate with your managers.
19. Phone numbers given at the time of interviewing must have a voicemail set up and not be full.

Must be 21 or over.
