Job summary

VueStay Vacations by Casago is seeking a full-time Runner to support the local Operations team in Oregon. You will travel between vacation homes, delivering supplies, performing light maintenance, and assisting housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction.

This role requires reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied shifts in a hospitality environment, with benefits and year-round stability.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality, or vacation industry preferred.
• Maintenance or housekeeping background is a bonus.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
• Frequent travel between worksites is required.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently within a team.
• Clear, friendly communication with guests and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare homes for guest check-in and check-out.
• Travel between units delivering supplies to housekeepers and maintenance teams.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and housekeeping support as needed.
• Remove trash from homes and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Repair and troubleshoot simple appliance/cable/wifi issues and replace bulbs.
• Ensure homes meet company standards of appearance and cleanliness.
• Assist housekeeping with cleaning when required.
• Build relationships with local team members and regional leadership.
• Provide cross-coverage for teammates as needed.
• Adapt to evolving daily needs in hospitality.

About This Job

The Runner supports the local Operations team with almost anything needed - light maintenance tasks, housekeeping support, running supplies to the team out in the field and anything else requested by management to ensure our portfolio of homes. This is a full time year round job with benefits.

Compensation

$22.50 per hour plus $100 per month auto stipend

Essential Job Functions

• Assist the Operations team in the local market, preparing homes for guest check in and check out.
• Frequently travel between units delivering supplies to housekeepers, maintenance teams and others, aiding guests, and running errands.
• Expect the unexpected, no day is the same and it will be spent traveling, performing basic maintenance and tasks in our homes.
• Remove trash from homes.
• Order, maintain and replenish maintenance supplies and inventory.
• Complete a variety of maintenance tasks within a home such as appliance/ cable/ wifi troubleshooting, cleaning hot tubs, and replacing light bulbs.
• Meet and maintain company Standard Unit Appearance, correcting inconsistencies in the homes you enter
• Assist housekeeping as needed by completing cleans.
• Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with local team members and regional leadership teams as needed.
• Provide cross-coverage for your team members when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned because every day is different in hospitality!

Requirements

Skills + Qualifications

• Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
• Prior experience working in maintenance or housekeeping role a bonus.
• Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
• This role involves frequent travel between worksites, so reliable personal transportation is essential.
• Dependable and prepared. Showing up on time and ready to go is key to creating great stays for our guests and peace of mind for our homeowners.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and represents the company in a positive way always.

Workplace Environment + Physical Requirements

• Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of settings including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities — often in varying weather conditions.
• We’re in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Regular travel within the locally assigned market and / or region.
• Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
