Job Summary:

The Ruminant R&D Manager is responsible for directing the research and development strategy for Ralco’s ruminant products and technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs. This role fosters innovation and oversees research initiatives, leveraging internal resources and external partnerships. The manager works closely with internal research teams on trial design, treatment allocation, and reporting, and collaborates with marketing and sales to execute the Ruminant Growth Plan. Supporting technical sales and leading a high-performing R&D team are also key responsibilities. Duties may vary based on departmental and company needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research Strategy & Direction: Develop and execute a research strategy aligned with scientific excellence and business goals. Oversee research programs and collaborations, ensuring a balanced pipeline of projects that promote innovation in ruminant nutrition and health.
2. Innovation & Technology Integration: Identify new opportunities and develop science-based, natural products that address agricultural challenges.
3. Growth Plan & Execution: Collaborate on the Ruminant Business Growth Plan, monitor KPIs and P&L metrics, and ensure research efforts support long-term growth.
4. Technical Sales Support: Provide scientific support, training, and reports to the sales team to translate research into market success.
5. Team Leadership: Manage and develop the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and trust.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of all sectors of the ruminant industry research.
• Ability to think creatively and drive progress.
• Experience with in-vitro and in-situ research methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of ruminant physiology, feed formulation, and applied research.

Pay and Benefits:
