Shaw Industries is hiring a Lift Truck Operator II for the Rugs Department on the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11:30pm–7:30am) at Shaw Plant T1 in Adairsville, GA. Certification for 12' pole, squeeze and fork is required. Duties include loading/unloading, packing, and operating the USF2 system to support rug production and shipping.

Qualifications

Rugs Lift Truck Operator II | Night Shift

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking a Lift Truck Operator for the 3rd shift (Sunday night- Thursday night 11:30pm-7:30am) within our Rugs Department at Shaw Plant T1 in Adairsville. The role involves transporting raw materials, waste, finished products, and other necessary items to support the rug department. Candidates must hold certification for 12' pole, squeeze, and fork attachments.

Responsibilities

• Pick up finished goods from packout, scan and load onto trailers for shipping
• Unload trailers holding raw materials, carpet rolls, backing, and other items
• Pick up waste materials and dispose of them properly
• Weigh waste and key into MRM system
• Retrieve and relocate yarn cases
• Load and cut rug cores in staging areas
• Print rug identification labels and iron onto the back of each rug
• Work in the packout area to package rugs for shipping
• Load finished rugs into carts for shipping
• Operate computer using USF2 system
• Work on R&d projects as needed to support the department
• Perform job duties inside and outside of the Rugs Department as needed to support plant operations
• General housekeeping duties
• Communication well with management to address departmental needs
• Maintain the integrity and security of an array of sensitive and technical tools
• Perform job duties in a safe manner
• Work night, weekends and holidays when required to meet customer orders
• Actively participate in various committees

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent

Must have good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Previous experience operating powered industrial machinery preferred

Requirements

• LTO certification required

• Must be able to work independently, without close supervisor
• Mount and dismount from lift truck repeatedly throughout the day
• Expected to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
