Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Adairsville seeks a Rugs Lift Truck Operator II for the night shift (Sun night–Thu night 11:30pm–7:30am) in the Rugs Department at Shaw Plant T1.

The role transports materials, loads/unloads trailers, and supports packout operations. LTO certification is required; computer systems (USF2 and MRM) are used daily. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Previous experience operating powered industrial machinery preferred.
• LTO forklift certification is required.
• Ability to operate computer.

Responsibilities

• Pick up finished goods from packout, scan and load onto trailers for shipping.
• Unload trailers holding raw materials, carpet rolls, backing, and other items.
• Pick up waste materials and dispose of them properly.
• Weigh waste and key into MRM system.
• Retrieve and relocate yarn cases.
• Load and cut rug cores in staging areas.
• Print rug identification labels and iron onto the back of each rug.
• Work in the packout area to package rugs for shipping.
• Load finished rugs into carts for shipping.
• Operate computer using USF2 system.
• Support department on R&D projects when needed.
• Perform duties inside/outside Rugs Department to support plant operations.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Communicate well with management to address departmental needs.
• Maintain integrity and security of an array of sensitive and technical tools.
• Perform duties safely.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays when required.
• Actively participate in various committees.

Job Title

Rugs Lift Truck Operator II | Night Shift

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking a Lift Truck Operator for the 3rd shift (Sunday night- Thursday night 11:30pm-7:30am) within our Rugs Department at Shaw Plant T1 in Adairsville.

The role involves transporting raw materials, waste, finished products, and other necessary items to support the rug department. Candidates must hold certification for 12' pole, squeeze, and fork attachments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent
• Must have good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Previous experience operating powered industrial machinery preferred
• LTO certification required
• Ability to operator computer
• Must have adequate depth perception
• Must be able to work independently, without close supervisor
• Mount and dismount from lift truck repeatedly throughout the day
• Expected to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
