Job summary

Coda Octopus Engineering in Utah is seeking a Test and Repair Technician to ensure the reliability of rugged embedded boards and systems through test, analysis, troubleshooting, modification and repair. The role spans hardware and software platforms and requires close collaboration with Engineering and Operations to follow test processes.

You will support range instrumentation systems, interpret requirements, collect failure data, perform inspections, testing and system validation, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years related experience.
• Technical college degree preferred.
• Experience with schematics, process instructions, test instructions and engineering drawings.
• IPC610/J-STD-001 Class 3 certification is a plus; current certification is beneficial.
• Export-controlled/ITAR assemblies experience and ability to obtain US Security Clearance if required.
• Self-motivated in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Test and repair rugged embedded boards and systems to ensure reliability.
• Perform analysis, troubleshooting, modification and repair across hardware and software platforms.
• Support range instrumentation systems including telemetry, radar and embedded computing.
• Interpret test requirements, collect/analyze failure data, and perform inspections and validation.
• Contribute to environmental, qualification and first-article testing activities.
• Identify issues in returned systems and propose corrective actions, including process improvements.
