Job summary

Valinor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support structural, thermal, and system-level design of rugged, field-deployable charging platforms for defense applications. You will work under senior engineers on docking enclosures, mounts, and protective systems for austere environments.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, BOMs, prototype fabrication, and collaboration with electrical and software teams to integrate sensors and electronics, ensuring reliability under MIL-STD-810 conditions and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 1+ years in mechanical design for rugged or mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools; familiarity with FEA/CFD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototyping, and iteration of mechanical systems for autonomous charging infrastructure, including enclosures, mounts, and structural frames.
• Perform structural/thermal analyses to ensure reliability under military environmental conditions.
• Develop mechanisms for automated docking, retention, alignment, and protection of payloads or vehicles.
• Evaluate materials and processes for ruggedization, manufacturability, weight, and cost.
• Collaborate with electrical/software teams to integrate sensors and electronics.
• Create CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support prototype fabrication, testing, and refinement in lab and field environments.
