Job summary

CityVet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant - Bather to provide compassionate care, bathing, housing, walking and enrichment for our patients while supporting teammates.

You will monitor health, record vitals, and report changes to supervisors, ensuring safe, thorough care and collaboration with the team in a fast-paced veterinary clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Lift 50 lbs to waist height.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide animals with housing, bathing, walking, food, water, bedding, toys and enrichment, and social interaction with humans.
• Monitor health, physically and behaviorally, and report issues to supervisor immediately.
• Accurately record and maintain patient records including vital sign measurements.

The Animal Care Attendant - Bather (ACA Bather) acts as the primary care provider for all animals under our supervision. The Animal Care Attendant - Bather works to ensure the professional, conscientious, compassionate care of all animals under our care at the facility are met by meeting both the physical and behavioral needs of all patients, with a focus in animal bathing.

Essential qualifications:

• Lift 50 lbs to waist height
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching

A day in the life:

• Provide all animals with appropriate housing, bathing, walking, food, water, bedding, toys and other mental stimulation and enrichment, social interaction with humans and, where appropriate, members of own species.
• Monitor health, physically and behaviorally, and rapidly identify any issues or changes that may require special action and report the information to supervisor immediately.
• Accurately record and maintain patient records while the animal is under care at the facility, including vital sign measurements.
