Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking two to three Ruffed Grouse Field Technicians to conduct roadside bird surveys, collect samples, and manage ARUs in North Georgia.

Technicians will enter data daily, work very early mornings, and may travel to field sites. Field housing and a work vehicle are provided. A strong work ethic, GPS navigation skills, and a relevant B.S. in Wildlife Ecology are preferred. Experience with habitat surveys and a valid driver’s license is desirable.

Qualifications

• A B.S. in Wildlife Ecology or related field.
• Strong observational skills and ability to listen for bird calls.
• Ability to navigate using GPS and Google Maps; valid driver’s license.
