Job summary

eTeki is seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer based in New York, NY for a 12+ month engagement. The role focuses on developing software applications while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Candidates should have over 5 years of relevant programming experience, including Ruby and C#, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

The ideal candidate will actively participate in Agile practices, providing support and contributing to internal tools enhancement. Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and/or maintaining a production application.

Job Description

Title: Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: 12+ Months with possible extension.

Technology:

• Ruby on Rails - Primary deployment tool is a Rails 3.2 application.
• Your primary focus will be on building tools but we all do some operations in order to make our internal tools better.
• Develop software applications and associated artifacts such as unit tests, installation programs and test automation code.
• Apply good technical practices such as continuous integration, test automation, source code control and review.
• Provide diagnostic support and bug fixing for software application.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure all software meets regulatory and company requirements.
• Work with Agile team members, particularly Software Quality Assurance and Product Management, to write clear, concise and comprehensive feature files.
• Participate in Agile working practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, reviews and retrospectives.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with relevant programming technologies, such as C#, Ruby, SQL.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and continuous deployment tools, preferably Jenkins, Go.
• Experience developing and/or maintaining a production application.
• Experience working in a regulated environment preferred.
• Experience with clinical research processes preferred.
• Experience working with Agile methods such as Scrum preferred.
• Working knowledge of XML and related technologies.
