CACI International Inc. is seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join an AGILE team building web applications with HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, Ruby on Rails and AWS for a government customer.

You will collaborate with analysts, UI/UX designers, testers and customers to define requirements, implement business logic, write tests, and support production systems, while contributing to system improvements and ongoing learning. This role requires security clearance and DoD compliance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years relevant web development experience
  • Experience with HTML/JavaScript/CSS
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Acquire CompTIA Security+ Certification within first 6 months
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
  • Ability to manage multiple priority tasks
  • Self-motivated task identification
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop and modify software systems (custom, COTS, GOTS).
  • Work with analysts, UI/UX and SMEs to understand requirements.
  • Develop cost estimates for software development and changes; conduct impact analysis.
  • Adhere to configuration change control standards.
  • Present ideas for system improvements.
  • Produce detailed specifications, write code, and conduct unit testing.
  • Write interfaces and conversion routines leveraging web APIs.
  • Support formal testing in controlled environment before production.
  • Provide input into training manuals for users.
  • Maintain knowledge of feature and technical changes in the application.

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Web Developer to act as a member of an AGILE development team working with HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, C#.NET, SQL, Ruby on Rails, and Amazon Web Services to develop business applications in support of a government customer. The developer will collaborate with analysts, project leads, UI/UX developers, testers, and customers to define requirements, implement business logic, and refine applications. This position will also require providing support and troubleshooting issues with existing production applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for researching, designing, developing and/or modifying software systems (e.g., custom, COTS, GOTS).
  • Works closely with business analysts, UI/UX developers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements.
  • Develops cost estimates for software development and enhancements and conducts impact analysis for software changes.
  • Adheres to program configuration change control standards.
  • Present ideas for system improvements.
  • Produces detailed specifications, writes software code, and conducts unit testing.
  • Writes interfaces and conversion routines leveraging web APIs.
  • Supports formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production.
  • Provides input into training manuals for users.
  • Maintains knowledge of feature and technical changes in the application.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • 10+ years relevant web development experience
  • Experience with basic web programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Acquire CompTIA Security+ Certification within first 6 months
  • Knowledge of web development principals, techniques, languages, and standard programming styles and conventions
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
  • Ability to manage multiple priority tasks
  • Self-motivated task identification
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
Desired:
  • Experience with C#.NET and Bootstrap
  • Experience with Python
  • AWS Certification (AWS Developer Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional)

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
