Job summary

Continental is seeking a Production Engineer to oversee new product introductions and production support for rubber compounds. This role interfaces with design, process, test, and manufacturing to solve issues, drive cost reductions, and improve yields while maintaining ISO:9001-2015 standards.

The ideal candidate will lead lab and factory trials, support customers with technical questions, and coordinate cross-functional activities to meet budget and production targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical/Manufacturing/Mechanical) or related discipline.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment supporting product introductions, equipment installation, and production/process support.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills; proficient MS Office and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Provide production technical support, quality testing reviews, and troubleshooting of production technical problems.
• Coordinate processing, technical, and quality activities of the department.
• Develop rubber technology knowledge and pursue cost reductions for current products and processes.
• Provide technical customer service; communicate with customers on technical questions concerning rubber compounds.
• Set up experimental laboratory and factory evaluation trials in product and process areas.
• Maintain and improve Quality systems to meet ISO:9001-2015 and internal standards.
