Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Materials Engineer – Product Development to support the development and commercialization of products using advanced materials, including thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, coatings, and metallic alloys. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Materials, Polymer, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with rubber materials, rubber formulation and rubber molding.
• Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset materials, testing, and failure analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• FEA experience with Abaqus or ANSYS is a plus.
• Moldflow Insight experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 10%.

• Conduct and interpret thermal, mechanical, and chemical testing, including FTIR, DMA, DSC, TGA, and tensile testing.
• Troubleshoot design, material, tolerance, and manufacturing issues.
• Participate in supplier selection, tooling, and cost evaluations.
• Lead or participate in cross‑functional design reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide product training.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and suppliers.
