Job summary

Sonfarrel Aerospace is seeking a Seal Layup Technician to support aerospace manufacturing. The role involves reading detailed instructions, handling silicone and fabric materials, and assembling them onto tooling to produce molded seals.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of hand layup experience, understands work orders, and follows safety and quality practices. Schedule is Monday to Thursday, 5am–3:30pm, with standard ERP data entry and housekeeping responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years with hand layup experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders.
• Attention to safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate jobs as assigned by the production scheduler or molding foreman.
• Handle raw materials (silicones, adhesives, fabrics, etc.).
• Assemble raw materials onto tooling.
• Read and follow work orders and instructions precisely.
• Notify supervisor of excessive scrap or problems with jobs.
• Input daily production data into the ERP system.
• Maintain production rates and efficiencies per company goals.
• Perform in-process visual inspection and sign off on products.
• Maintain proper part identification and traceability.
• Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when issues arise.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
