Job summary

Rubbercraft in Long Beach, CA, is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Engineer III to lead the introduction, development, and transition of new rubber and elastomer products into production. The role focuses on manufacturability, process capability, and successful production launches with cross-functional teams.

This position requires strong knowledge of rubber processes, DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, and documentation control within a regulated aerospace/defense context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting new product introduction, production launches, and process development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and transfer new products into production by analyzing requirements and defining production methods.
• Document, validate, and improve manufacturing process sequences and controls.
• Translate requirements into manufacturable process plans with BOMs, routers, and work instructions.
• Support readiness activities for prototype and pilot builds, first article, and handoff to operations.
• Identify manufacturability risks and cost drivers with cross-functional teams.
• Define process flow, equipment needs, and launch readiness actions.
• Communicate risks and required resources to stakeholders.
