The ideal candidate has 5+ years in rubber processing and hands-on experience with Mooney Viscometer, Rheometer, Lab Mixer, and related lab equipment, along with strong project management skills and Lean manufacturing exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or polymer science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in rubber processing (mixing, calendaring, extrusion).
• Experience with Mooney Viscometer, Rheometer, Tensiometers, Lab Mixer, Lab Mill, Cure Press, and Densometer.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with DAISY, SCADA, or PLM database systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• LEAN Manufacturing and 6 Sigma exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop rubber compounds for gasket products using injection and compression molding presses.
• Provide technical solutions through material development to meet customer needs.
• Lead R&D efforts for new and improved rubber compounds and oversee productivity improvements.
• Interface with QA, engineering, and production to ensure material performance meets requirements.
• Manage raw material specification database for internal and external customers.
