GN Group seeks an RTR Accountant (Fixed Assets) to join the Record-to-Report Finance Operations in Warsaw. You will manage fixed asset and project accounting, ensure accurate reporting, and support month-end close.

The ideal candidate holds a finance or accounting degree with experience in fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and CWIP, plus strong Excel and English. We offer hybrid work and collaboration across functions worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Experience in Record-to-Report, General Ledger or Fixed Asset Accounting.
  • Solid understanding of fixed asset accounting, capitalization and depreciation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end fixed asset accounting activities including CWIP transactions.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register, depreciation and asset verifications.
  • Review capitalization values, useful lives and depreciation methods.
  • Monitor CWIP balances and support capitalization decisions.
  • Execute month-end depreciation runs and assist period-end close.
  • Support internal and external audits and drive process improvements.

Working alongside colleagues across Finance, Controlling, Procurement, and local business teams, you will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records.Our team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. We support each other's development while striving to deliver high-quality financial services that create value for the business.**Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:*** Perform end-to-end fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.* Process asset creation, capitalization, transfers, retirements, disposals, and Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) transactions.* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure assets are accurately recorded and depreciated.* Review capitalization values, useful lives, and depreciation methods in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.* Monitor and review CWIP balances, following up with asset owners to support timely capitalization or retirement decisions.* Execute month-end depreciation runs and support period-end closing activities within agreed timelines.* Prepare and post fixed asset adjustments, including those resulting from physical asset verification.* Support impairment assessments, asset revaluations, and fixed asset reconciliations.* Collaborate with finance colleagues and business stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and ensure accurate project accounting.* Contribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and continuous enhancement of fixed asset accounting practices.* Support internal and external audit activities by providing accurate documentation and financial information.**To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:*** Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.* Have experience working within Record-to-Report, General Ledger, or Fixed Asset Accounting.* Possess a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting principles, capitalization, depreciation, and accounting standards.* Have experience working with ERP systems and financial applications.* Are comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools in your daily work.* Enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different countries and business functions.* Have a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.* Are fluent in spoken and written English.**At GN we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible working whenever possible**We trust our people to organize their work in the way that creates the greatest value.
