Job summary

Compass Intervention Center is seeking an Intervention Specialist to help implement RTI and improve student outcomes in a school setting. The role focuses on direct instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with educators and families.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with endorsement in intervention and strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Opportunities for professional growth and competitive compensation are provided by UHS.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and endorsement in area of intervention.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
• Teacher Effectiveness scores of three (3) four (4) or five (5) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to school administrators in the implementation of Response to Instruction and Intervention framework.
• Creates an educational environment conducive to learning and prepares instructional materials; provides written evidence of preparation.
• Establishes a standard of classroom behavior and maintains classroom management.
• Plans and prepares evidence-based Tier II and Tier III intervention lessons to meet individual needs.
• Provides parents with required notifications of student progress.
• Collaborates with staff to analyze screening and progress data for RTI Data Teams.
• Coaches and collaborates with school staff to implement RTI and supports teachers.
• Provides RTI Data Team with student reports from intervention platforms.
• Monitors intervention platforms and reports to the principal or designee.
• Active member of the education team; attends meetings and trainings as appropriate.
• Works with school leadership to ensure RTI implementation.
