Home Chef is seeking a dedicated RTH Sanitation Associate for a 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) to maintain a clean, food-safe kitchen and assembly area. You will wear PPE, follow safety rules, and ensure sanitary conditions daily across drains, racks, sinks, and equipment.

Applicants should have 2+ years in the food industry and a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred; positions involve rotating duties in GMP environments.

• Check for leaks, drips, and condensation and address as needed.
• Clean food processing equipment per SOP and schedule.

This role follows a 3rd shift schedule, working from 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM , with designated days off on Sunday and Saturday.

The RTH Sanitation Associate is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment in the kitchen and assembly areas. The Sanitation Associate is expected to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times, maintain tools and equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner at all times, and follow all health and safety regulations.

Detailed Responsibilities

RTH Cleaning

• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean and sanitize receptacles on a daily basis
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing them with floor scrubber
• Clean and wipe down racks
• Clean metal tables and sanitized on a daily basis
• Re-stock vinyl gloves and PPE in all sizes
• Clean and sanitize hand wash sinks and three department sinks
• Clean, empty and sanitize all garbage gondolas on a daily basis
• Mix water and cleaning chemicals in containers, mop buckets to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
• Check for leaks, drips, and condensation
• Clean all food manufacturing machinery according to SOP's

RTH Equipment Cleaning (Blast Chillers, Tilt Skillets, Ovens, MAP Machines, Sanitunnel)

• Follow SSPO cleaning procedures with individual equipment cleans
• Use proper PPE while performing cleaning task
• Clean floors using a dry cleaning method
• Remove any build up or ice accumulation on the floors, walls, and cooling units
• Check for leaks, drips, and condensation
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures according to policy when applicable

Dish Room

• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean and sanitize receptacles on a daily basis
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing them with floor scrubber
• Clean and wipe down racks
• Clean, wash and sanitize all production utensils, bus tubs, sheet pans and blue dollies, etc
• Clean metal tables and sanitize on a daily basis
• Re-stock chemicals
• Clean and sanitize three department sinks
• Test sanitizer with Hydrion test strips to test PPM sanitation solution
• Clean Tub Washer according to SOP

GMP Frock Room

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing them with floor scrubber
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean and sanitize receptacles on a daily basis
• Re-stock vinyl gloves in all sizes and PPE accordingly
• Clean and sanitize hand wash sinks and three department sinks
• Clean and maintain all walls and areas

General Responsibilities

• Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility
• Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs

Attitude and Attendance

• Arrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedure
• Communicates with co-workers in a professional manner
• Treats co-workers with respect at all times
• Escalates attitude issues among janitors to FSQA Manager
• Uses teamwork with working with production throughout the day
• Demonstrates ownership of tasks and job responsibilities on a consistent basis.

This position requires 0% travel.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred
• 2+ years of experience working in the food industry
• General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED)
