Job summary

Realty Trust Group (RTG) seeks a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support multiple healthcare real estate projects across the region. You will assist with due diligence, planning, and capital projects, coordinating timelines and budgets.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in construction/project management, a related degree, and relevant certifications. Occasional travel up to 50% is expected as projects span multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of project management experience (construction/design), preferably healthcare real estate.
• Bachelor's degrees in Engineering, Building Construction, Business, or related field; comparable experience accepted.
• PM certifications (PMP/CPM/AIA/LEED/PE/CMC) preferred.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, PlanGrid or PMWeb.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple client engagements including due diligence and capital project management.
• Read and interpret building plans and manage timelines.
• Represent RTG in stakeholder interactions and resolve disputes.
• Conduct Facility Condition Assessments and budget recommendations.
• Prepare project documentation and maintain files.
• Monitor project schedule and budget; manage field issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES

TheConstruction Assistant Project Manageris responsible for supporting multiple client engagements including Due Diligence Evaluations, Facility Condition Assessments, Project Feasibility and Planning Initiatives, and Capital Project Management. Project types may include interior construction/ renovations and ground-up construction, for both inpatient/acute-care and outpatient/ambulatory facilities.The Assistant Project manager exercises discretion and independent business judgment within his or her assigned scope of responsibility on given projects. The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, both of whom have similar responsibilities but with respect to more complex projects. Specific responsibilities include:

• Have basic knowledge of building systems.
• Be able to read and interpret building plans.
• Create and manage timelines to ensure timely project completion.
• Represent RTG in handling complaints and arbitrating disputes within assigned scope of responsibility.
• Conduct Facility Condition Assessments to determine facility condition and make budgetary recommendations.
• Reorganize project priorities as needed.
• Assist with making recommendations regarding team procurement.
• Review and process invoices and reconcile expenses.
• Prepare and issue project documentation.
• Set up and maintain project files.
• Support project management effort as required.
• Manage field issues.
• Facilitate work in the field.
• Monitor the project schedule.
• Monitor the project budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of project management experience (including construction or design), preferably in health care real estate/construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Business (or related field) OR comparable demonstrated ability and experience in healthcare/commercial/institutional /office construction.
• PMP, CPM, AIA, LEED, PE, CMC preferred.
• Experience/competence with various software programs, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, PlanGrid, PMWeb, or other similar programs.

ALLOCATION OF TIME

• Business Client Development – 5%
• Client / Project Work – 85%
• Administrative – 10%

Overnight travel may be required up to 50%.
