Follows the direction of the Production Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel on daily production duties.
Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
Provides accurate and timely feedback to the supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.
Helps coordinate daily setup of equipment to ensure the line is prepared to run on time.
Completes required checks and measurements, recording accurately.
Assists in training and developing staff to ensure a quality product.
Assists with new hire ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations.
Position is required to work before department start time to assist with area set-ups.
Maintains punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Works effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Communicates effectively and follows verbal and written instructions & policies.
Works well in a team and possesses good leadership skills.
Has working knowledge of all positions on the line.
Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Passes a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is helpful.
Standing 8-10 hours per day.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Possible bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting.
Repetitive hand tasks, including gripping, grasping, pinching, and pulling.
Work in damp and cold environments.
Work with loud machinery.
Work with chemicals, fumes, and odors.
