Job summary

PROtect LLC in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role covers RT, UT, MT, PT, leak testing and visual inspection, with opportunities for travel and certification advancement.

You will operate and maintain NDT equipment, document findings, and mentor assistants while adhering to safety standards. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates, and growth within the company is encouraged.

Qualifications

• NDT experience or demonstrated skill in inspections.
• Ability to follow safety and quality standards.
• Valid driver's license and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using methods such as RT, UT/UTT, MT, PT, Leak Testing, and Visual Inspection.
• Operate, calibrate, prepare, and maintain NDT equipment.
• Identify and document indications and defects using the appropriate inspection method.
• Complete inspection reports, documentation, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Provide direction to NDT assistants and help ensure the safety of the entire crew.
• Follow applicable codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Travel to customer and project locations as needed.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Certification in at least one NDT method: RT, UTT, MT, or PT
• Demonstrated NDT experience, knowledge, or skill
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

• TWIC card
• Multiple NDT certifications
• Industrial, pipeline, refinery, or other field experience

What the Job Requires

NDT is hands-on, field-based work. Technicians should be comfortable with:

• Long or extended workdays, including up to 16 hours when required
• Short-notice call-outs
• Extended travel and time away from home
• Working at heights and in confined spaces
• Extreme hot and cold weather conditions
• Rough or uneven terrain
• Frequently lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
• Working around industrial equipment, chemicals, electrical components, and other jobsite hazards
