Job summary

PROtect is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join our growing team. The role covers RT, UT/UTT, MT, PT inspections, equipment maintenance, and accurate reporting.

The position offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates and opportunities for career advancement, travel, and continued education. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and certification in at least one NDT method with demonstrated experience.

• Certification in at least one NDT method: RT, UT/UTT, MT or PT.
• Demonstrated NDT experience, knowledge, or skill.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using methods such as RT, UT/UTT, MT, PT, Leak Testing, and Visual Inspection.
• Operate, calibrate, prepare, and maintain NDT equipment.
• Identify and document indications and defects using the appropriate inspection method.
• Complete inspection reports, documentation, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Provide direction to NDT assistants and help ensure the safety of the entire crew.
• Follow applicable codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Travel to customer and project locations as needed.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Certification in at least one NDT method: RT, UTT, MT, or PT
• Demonstrated NDT experience, knowledge, or skill
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred:

• TWIC card
• Multiple NDT certifications
• Industrial, pipeline, refinery, or other field experience

What the Job Requires

NDT is hands‑on, field‑based work. Technicians should be comfortable with:

• Long or extended workdays, including up to 16 hours when required
• Short‑notice call‑outs
• Extended travel and time away from home
• Working at heights and in confined spaces
• Extreme hot and cold weather conditions
• Rough or uneven terrain
• Frequently lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
• Working around industrial equipment, chemicals, electrical components, and other jobsite hazards
