Job summary

Acuren is seeking an RT Level II Technician to support operations in Joliet, IL. This role is largely embedded with minimal callouts, focusing on nondestructive testing and interpretation of results.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, performing tests to detect discontinuities, reporting results, and potentially instructing others, while adhering to safety regulations and applicable standards. Local applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II RT.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.

Acuren is currently recruiting for a RT Level II Technician to help support operations in Joliet, IL. THIS WILL BE A MOSTLY EMBEDDED ROLE WITH MINIMAL CALLOUT. (LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test resultsPerform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements
