Job summary

Rosenbauer seeks a Body Fabricator to weld and assemble the metal body of our fire apparatus. You will read blueprints, weld, cut, sand and bolt components, and mount the body and pump house onto the subframe, with support equipment as needed.

You will join a dedicated production team, applying safety-focused practices and working from standard specifications to deliver a robust, road-ready vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6 months experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Read blueprints/specifications; strong mechanical and technical aptitude; follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates the metal body on the fire apparatus.
• Reads and follows blueprints and specifications to complete objectives.
• Welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus.
• Mounts body and pump house onto the subframe of the fire apparatus.
• Mounts support for equipment to be installed as needed.
• Checks the work against blueprints/specifications to ensure a workable product.

They must be able to read and follow blueprints/specifications to complete objectives. A Body fabricator welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus. They will also mount body and pump house onto the subframe of the fire apparatus as well as fill in where needed within the shop.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAll employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
