Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is seeking a Senior Inspector A&P to perform quality control inspections on aircraft and components, ensuring airworthiness and full compliance with FAA/CAA regulations.

Requires an A&P license and 8 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years with Gulfstream and 2 years in aircraft inspection. 4th shift available Friday through Sunday days; ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of aircraft and components to ensure airworthiness and proper documentation.
• Review workmanship against FAA/CAA data and approved/acceptable data.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements during maintenance or outfitting.
• Maintain accurate, neat, and legible records of work performed on aircraft/components.
• Coordinate with RTS to ensure timely and accurate aircraft records.
• Audit maintenance documentation for accuracy before return to service approval.

Gulfstream Large Cabin Experience Preferred; Flight Safety Initial Preferred but not Required; Must be Able to Lift 50 Lbs, Must be Able to Work from Ladders, Stands, and Heights; Must be able to Occasionally Work in Confined Spaces; Must be Proficient with Computers.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) to include 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience and 2 years of aircraft inspection experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.

Position Purpose

Performs inspections of aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed. Works as an integral part of the Quality Control/Assurance team assuring aircraft/components are in compliance to FAA/CAA requirements.

2. Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data .
3. Coordinates mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting .
4. Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components .
5. Coordinates throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner .
6. Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service .
